He's like an elephant....: )

Over a year ago, I read the Little House on the Prairie books to William. We watched the new Little House on the Prairie movie this past weekend. When it came to the part where they were about to cross the river, William said "Uh-oh."
"Do you know what's going to happen here?"
"Yeah, Jack is going to drown but not really."
He remembered so many details! From over a year ago! I asked him "What happens later?"
"Green eyes!"
In the book all Laura saw were green eyes. This kid's memory is like an elephant. I better be really nice to him, or he's gonna be quoting my rants to a therapist 45 years from now. :P

Yee-haw...my son is finally interested in sports

There's been an interesting breakthrough in this household in the past two weeks. William has become a sports fan! Before when I'd sit down to watch basketball or soccer, he'd whine, "I don't like soccer" or "I don't like basketball." Now he'll actually watch with me! Credit the ACC tournament, I think. When Scott and I were watching Duke games and celebrating the good plays (think long-range three by J J) he started getting excited and wanting to give high fives too. And last night I took him to watch the Suns whoop the Bobcats (no offense Bobcats, but you're not very good) and he had a great time! He was chanting "Go Suns go! Go Suns go!" I think I might have gotten some dirty looks if I'd done that, but how can you be angry at an enthusiastic 4 year old? And at his request I took several pictures of Steve Nash, which I will try to upload and provide a link to later. Now if only there were some soccer games on Sunday around here! :)
